How to Pass the Faithfulness Test

In the book of Genesis, we read the story of Joseph, who was sold into slavery by his own brothers. Despite his circumstances, Joseph remained faithful to God. He was eventually promoted to a position of authority in Egypt, where he used his influence to help his family and others.

The story of Joseph teaches us that we can pass the faithfulness test by:

  • Knowing that God is with us. Joseph knew that God was with him, even when he was in a difficult situation. This knowledge gave him the strength to persevere.
  • Putting our hands to purpose. Joseph was a hard worker. He used his skills and abilities to make a difference in the world.
  • Maintaining a Christlike attitude. Joseph was humble and servant-minded. He was willing to put the needs of others before his own.
  • Resisting temptation. Joseph was tempted to sin, but he refused. He knew that it was more important to be faithful to God than to give in to temptation.

If we want to pass the faithfulness test, we need to follow the example of Joseph. We need to know that God is with us, put our hands to purpose, maintain a Christlike attitude, and resist temptation.
