Unless you live under a rock, you’ve seen the outbreak of COVID-19 happening right now. Our church decided to comply with our city and county officials and not have physical services this Sunday. The key to our decision is we wanted to honor them and protect our flock. We didn’t do it out of fear.
I see several different camps of fear on this and I’m proud of all the pastors making decisions not based on fear. That fear goes both ways. Some are keeping services out of fear. Some are canceling services out of fear. Neither way is right in that case. You can make the right decision for the wrong reason and still be wrong. We aren’t to be led by fear as pastors.
So whatever you decide in the upcoming weeks, throw out fear. Get informed and seek God.
